Welcome to ResellHub.ie. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected when using our website and related services (the "Platform"). It also details your rights under Irish and EU data protection law.

Developer/Owner Information

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA, ResellHub (the "Owner" of the application) acts as the Data Controller. As the Data Controller, ResellHub determines the purposes and means of processing your Personal Data and is responsible for ensuring that processing is lawful, transparent, and secure.

TaskBucket (the "Developer"), which built and maintains the application on our behalf, serves as a Data Processor or Service Provider. TaskBucket processes your data solely on our documented written instructions and in accordance with a binding data processing agreement. As a Data Processor, TaskBucket is required under GDPR to maintain confidentiality, apply adequate security measures, and assist ResellHub in fulfilling data subject rights and other compliance obligations. TaskBucket will never use or share your personal data for its own purposes and only processes your data as required to deliver and support the application.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Personal data means information that can identify you directly or indirectly. We may collect:

  • Identity Data: Name, date of birth (used only for optional identity checks), username
  • Contact Data: Email, phone number, postal address
  • Account & Login Data: Login credentials, social login IDs (Google, Apple, Facebook)
  • Payment & Transaction Data: Payment method, billing info, seller payout details, transaction records (Stripe and PayPal securely process all payments; we do not store full card details)
  • AI-Generated Data: Analysis of product images (pricing, categorization), fraud signals, listing quality/policy compliance; all AI decisions are reviewed by humans as needed
  • Usage & Technical Data: IP address, device info, browsing actions, cookies, search behaviour, location/region (if enabled)
  • Communications Data: Messages exchanged via the Platform, support interactions, and feedback

We do not collect any special categories of personal data (race, religion, health, etc.) or process criminal conviction data except for legally required fraud prevention.

3. How We Collect Data

Your data is collected:

  • Directly (e.g., registering, listing, buying, seller contact, identity checks)
  • Automatically (cookies, analytics as you browse)
  • Via third parties (social login)
  • Through secure payment providers (when purchasing)

Your data is only processed where lawful and necessary, including:

Your data is shared only where needed:

  • With sellers (if you enquire on their listing)
  • With payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)

We do not sell your data. If ResellHub.ie is purchased or merged, your data will remain protected, and you will be notified in advance.

Some service providers may operate outside the EEA. We use EU Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected.

We implement industry-standard encryption, authentication, and access controls, and maintain procedures for incident detection, investigation, and reporting as required by law.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Account data: For as long as your account remains active
  • Transaction records: Up to 7 years (legal requirement)
  • Messages/listings: While active
  • Backup and anonymised analytics: Held securely without identifying you

10. AI Transparency

Our AI tools support listing classification, automated pricing, fraud detection, and safety checks. Human review is applied to any AI decision with legal or significant effect. You may request human intervention or contest automated AI decisions.

Our Platform may contain external links. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices; please review their privacy policies separately.
